Mitch co-habitates a privately owned studio called Sputnik with engineer/producer Jacquire King (Modest Mouse, Kings of Leon, No Doubt, Third Eye Blind, Smash Mouth). Co-founded in early 2000 with the rock band, Jars of Clay, the space/sound odessy has developed into a fully equipped digital/analog option for any type of recording project. It consists of a main tracking room, control room, kitchen, lounge, and mixing suite.
The vibey, ecclectic, 1950s sci-fi environment compliments the hardware in an ironic mixture of the vintage alongside the modern.
